Impression created by use of ‘warm’ fluorescents inside this home is friendly and inviting, from the garage on the left to the study on the right. The design of the exterior fixtures lent themselves to incandescent bulbs, so low wattages (25 watts) were used to minimize glare. Energy efficient lighting does not mean ‘fluorescent only’. The key is to choose the best application for each source. When smart choices are made, energy efficient lighting can be appreciated as an asset even in a home of this scale.
