MS in Architectural Sciences with a Concentration in Lighting: Research Projects
Students in the master's program will undertake unique research or design projects under the guidance of a faculty advisor. Some examples of projects include:
- 3D-printed lenses, heatsinks, and electronic lighting components
- 3D-printed antennas for wireless communication of networked lighting controls
- Drone-based photometry systems for field measurements
- Human factor studies for lighting applications
- Evaluation of the accuracy of smartphone apps to measure light levels
- Evaluation of the metering accuracy of networked lighting systems and the impact on sustainability goals
These are just a few examples. Students are welcome to discuss any project ideas with faculty and how to best pursue their research interests.
