Wall-Mounted Vanity Lights

Vanity lights are usually installed over a bathroom mirror or medicine cabinet to help with tasks such as shaving or makeup. Choose a bulb with a high CRI to provide good color rendering. To help eliminate facial shadows, use light colors on countertops for maximum light reflectance, and consider installing sconces on either side of the mirror. If installed above the mirror, locate vanity lights 6.5 feet above the floor. Switch vanity lights separately from other fixtures in the room.
