LRC Communications Team Earns Award for Research News, Constituent Engagement

award logoThe Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Communications Team has been named a 2016 All Star Award winner by Constant Contact, part of the Endurance International Group, Inc. This annual award recognizes the most successful 10 percent of Constant Contact users based on their significant achievements using email marketing to engage their constituents and drive results for their organization during the prior year, including high levels of email open and click-through rates.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by Constant Contact for providing engaging and relevant lighting research news to our constituents,” said Rebekah Mullaney, Manager of Research Communications at the LRC.

LRC email news alerts inform the more than 8500 subscribers about the leading-edge research taking place at the LRC in solid-state lighting, light and health, transportation lighting, and energy efficiency. With more than 60 projects being conducted at any one time at the LRC, and research results being regularly released, there is a wealth of knowledge offered to email news subscribers.

About the Lighting Research Center
The Lighting Research Center (LRC) at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is the world's leading center for lighting research and education. Established in 1988 by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the LRC has been pioneering research in solid-state lighting, light and health, transportation lighting and safety, and energy efficiency for more than 30 years. LRC lighting scientists with multidisciplinary expertise in research, technology, design, and human factors, collaborate with a global network of leading manufacturers and government agencies, developing innovative lighting solutions for projects that range from the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to U.S. Navy submarines to hospital neonatal intensive-care units.
