The Lighting Research Center offers multiple professional and graduate education options in solid-state lighting and related topics.
LED Lighting Institute – A three-day, hands-on workshop on LEDs, OLEDs, connected lighting, and 3D component printing, culminating with participants designing, building, and evaluating their own fixtures.
3D Printing for Lighting Online Course – A six-week online, interactive course on the application of 3D printing to the design, development, and manufacturing of lighting components and products.
Graduate Education – Master's and Ph.D. programs in lighting offered through the School of Architecture
at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Photometry Institute – A two-day, hands-on course about the latest developments in photometric testing and evaluation, including new testing requirements for solid-state light sources and systems.
Light & Health Institute – A three-day institute on how to use the power of light to improve health and wellbeing in schools, offices, hospitals, and homes.
Live Webinars – The LRC periodically presents webinars on a variety of leading-edge topics in lighting. The live,
one-hour webinars include information on the latest research in
lighting and are interactive to allow participants to ask questions
of LRC researchers about each of the topics presented
