LRC Enhances LED Outreach Education

In response to requests from lighting professionals across the United States, the LRC has enhanced its outreach education by taking the LED Lighting Institute "on the road". In addition to the traditional three-day seminar held each spring and fall at the LRC, a two-day LED Lighting Institute program option has been added, which will be hosted at a program sponsor site each year.

The first two-day, on-the-road LED Lighting Institute will be held March 17-18, 2009, at Cree Corporate Headquarters in Durham, N.C.

Upcoming LED Lighting Institutes
2-day "On-the-Road" LED Lighting Institute – March 17-18, 2009, Cree Headquarters, Durham, N.C.
3-day In-house LED Lighting Institute – May 12-14, 2009, Lighting Research Center, Troy, N.Y.

These hands-on seminars teach industry professionals how to incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) into lighting applications and include updated technical content based on the latest industry developments. Through workshops and lab sessions, participants learn the basics of LED technology, learn how to measure and evaluate LEDs and LED systems, and have the opportunity to compare LED technologies from a variety of manufacturers.

For more information or to register, visit the LED Lighting Institute Web site. Those directly employed by an LRC Partner Program member receive a 20 percent discount on the registration fee.
