LED Lighting Institute
Inorganic and Organic LEDs
Each LED Lighting Institute is designed to teach industry professionals how to incorporate light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) into lighting applications. Each LED Lighting Institute includes updated technical content based on the latest industry developments.
Through hands-on workshops and classroom sessions, participants learn the basics of LED and OLED technology while building an understanding of LED system integration issues involving the electrical, optical, and thermal characteristics of LEDs and OLEDs. Participants also learn how to measure and evaluate LED and OLED systems, and have the opportunity to compare LED technologies from a variety of manufacturers. The program culminates with the participants designing, building, and evaluating their own LED and OLED fixtures.
LRC experts work side-by-side with LED Lighting Institute participants in a small-class setting designed to help them learn more about this quickly evolving lighting technology.
In response to requests from lighting professionals across the U.S., participants now have the option of selecting either a 3-day LED Lighting Institute program held in-house at the LRC or a 2-day course held "on-the-road" at a partner location. The next 3-day LED Lighting Institute will be held September 10-12, 2013, at the Lighting Research Center in Troy, New York.
