M.S., lighting, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute; B.S., electrical and mechanical engineering, National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico.

Research interests:
Solid-state lighting, LED performance, energy-efficient lighting design, photometry, the spectral effects of lighting, and education.
